My Apologies

I know, I know, I have been neglecting you guys, don't hate me mmmk! I have been so busy over at Meet Virginia, it's like a full time job in addition to the job I already have and wifely duties this blog just seems to fall by the wayside. I have been thinking about starting another blog, it'd be a fashion blog since Meet Virginia has morphed into more of a craft blog ;). What do you think? I know you all secretly want to dress like me...;) jk but seriously ;).

When I Grow Up...

When I was little I wanted to be a variety of things, but one that came to mind the other day was an Egyptologist. I know I am such a nerd but I will admit that I was beyond giddy for this past weekend's Discovery show about King Tut. It would be a dream vaca for me to go to Egypt, ride on a camel to the pyramids and see The Sphinx....yeah I think that this has to happen in my life!

ps: I hurt my back really REALLY badly at my toning class last night, I promise if I had a cane I would use it...I feel no shame in that.

pps: I just completely voided my said workout last night when my diet consisted of an xxl diet soda, sun chips (atleast they have lots of fiber???), a bowl of cheese, and a Paradise Bakery sugar cookie for dinner ;). I could really have gone for another cookie, I ate the whole thing on my drive home....don't judge me. Love, love.

Happy Birthday to the sweetest brother a girl could ask for! Happy Birthday Steve! I love love love you and am so happy that I was able to spend the day with you! Don't hate me forever for snooping out the you know what.....mmk I will most likely forget about it for the end of the day anyways ;) love love love you!

Our Love Day

This year's Valentines was by far the best in my entire life! I have the best hubby anyone could ask for! We decided to celebrate Vday on Friday since we figured Saturday would be down right crazy to try and go anywhere to eat! We went to our fav sushi place in Layton and had some way good sushi and way nasty sushi! Ever heard of niro sushi....blick! First off it looks like skin that has be sitting in the sun too long ya know all wrinkly and tan? It comes out looking like a mini spring roll...I know sounds divine right? It does until you take a bite of it and realize its nasty tofu with rice on the inside, I had to hold back the vomit! The rest of the sushi was great as always though so we were satisfied!

After sushi we had a hankerin' for something sweet, Nate banned the idea of any baked goods so we went to Sub Zero for ice cream. Has anyone been there? It was too cool instead of having the ice cream pre-made they make it right in front of you using liquid nitrogen! We went with pistachio/our fave with graham cracker pie crust...one word...Heavenly!

We ended our night with re runs of the Office and Seinfeld.

This is where I thought my Vday had ended, and I was beyond satisfied (I honestly don't get too much into Vday) but was I ever wrong!

I went shopping with my mom and sis all day Saturday and when I got home my entire house was spotless and the laundry was done! I went upstairs to of course change into my sweats when I noticed this attached to a balloon and a card sitting on my nicely made bed!

Ok I know that I am not a prude when it comes to fashion, I mean I am usually pretty accepting I think, but WTFreak is this?


Shorts with tights....ewwwww gross! I am sorry ladies just wear a short mini or something this look is no bueno! Katie Holmes you're double fined..you know better than this, but I am guessing this pic was taken a while ago since she still has short hair...one can hope. I mean what is going to be next??? Bikini's and thermals? You just can't combine two seasons together people its just weird.

Confessional

Wow long time no post! I really do have some things that I need to own up to...thank goodness for this fabulous blog ;)

1. I have eaten more baked potatoes in the last month, than in my entire life time. Why this is...I have no idea, I think I like that it is a whole meal in a little potato!

2. I love The Nanny...I DVR it every night and watch episodes I have already seen. I think it is hilarious...I just laugh and laugh and laugh, I mean what is funnier than an over 30 jewish nanny born and raised in Flushing! Oh and I am so not ashamed!

3. I don't know anyone that is more excited for this than I am!!

Oh Coach how I have missed you so much! And Russel I would watch out I don't know how long you will last!

4. The new Alice and Wonderland by Tim Burton really freaks me out! I promise I think it might give me nightmares if I ever see it.

Just a glimpse of Johnny Deppe as the Mad Hatter sends chills down my spine!

5. What I wouldn't give to have hair like this chick's HERE its so full and hippy-ish and lovely!

The Stray Hair

Have you ever wiped/caressed/touched your face and come across a stray hair....that isn't blonde? I found one right underneath my jaw bone below my ear a couple minutes ago...WEIRD right? Blah don't you just hate that when it happens, because then you wonder ummm how long has this been there? Has anyone noticed? Did anyone secretly make fun of me because of this gross disgusting hair? Oh man....I still need to pluck it and will do so immediately following this post!

Our Conversation Last Night

Our conversations take the weirdest turns, let me paint the picture of last night: we were laying in bed, watching some Mythbusters in the wee hours of the morning about to fall asleep.

Me: I hope when I am pregnant that my stomach is round...you know like beach ball was shoved up there.

N: Hmmm.....(I promise he was listening to me...I think? It's hard to tell when Mythbusters is on.)

Me: You know I don't want to end up with like a duck bill stomach where it is round at the top, dips in and then there is a roll at the bottom so the outline looks like a duck bill.

N: (hums a tune and proceeds to sing) "Duck bill, duck bill, Bill duck".

Me: (I proceeding to laugh and laugh and laugh)

Yeah, I would have to say that is one of the many reasons I fell in love with my dear sweet hubby, our weird conversations and all the laughter is one of my most favorite things! Love you sweet cheeks ;)! Love love.

Wednesday Night: Core Fusion

I went to a fitness class last night at the South Davis Rec Center called: Core Fusion. I have gone to this class before but last night was particularly rough. Instead of fusing my core I promise I think my spine is fused! My lower back is throbbing which is directly related to the permanent reverse plank position I was in for around 55 minutes. Blah! I know that I will thank her later but Kristen of SDRC: I don't like you, or your core fusion/reverse plank class ;)! I honestly don't know if I will make it to kick box tonight...I super need it though after eating that pasta I made last night (have you tried it yet?) I am pretty sure I ate a whole stick of burnt brown butter all by myself. Really why can't I be blessed with a super duper high metabolism, or a thyroid problem? Yeah I know I wouldn't want it if I had it blah, blah, blah I think that's what skinny people with those problems tell you to make you feel better about your chunkiness. I really hope I make it tonight...or I develop a skinny disease ;) hope you all have a great Thursday! I can't wait for my rio salad tonight and shows ;)! Love love.

Mmmk has anyone seen the commercials about the "New" Taco Bell Diet? I am sorry but this has to be a joke right...? Because all Taco Bell has brought me is depression, and three inches added to both love handles. Things at Taco Bell have just gotten out of hand...completely! Hmmmm well Love love ;)

I'm Scared!

Has anyone seen The Lovely Bones?? We watched it with BF's Christy and Jason last night...I am still trying to decide if it was a good movie or not...? You know what I will just flat out say that it was a good movie since all we did on the ride home last night was talk about it and I keep getting chills down my spine!! Just looking at this pic makes me poop my pants because of scariness!

This actor seriously needs an award for this movie! Usually he plays the funny guy like Julia Childs' husband, and the art director for The Devil Wears Prada. I for reals hated him in this..so kudoos to you Stanley for being awesome!

I thought Saorise Ronan the girl who played Suzy the lead did an amazing job as well, and I think she is drop dead gorgeous! Why can't my pale skin look this pretty and porcelain doll like?

Also this is still haunting me from my trip to the grocery store the other day:

I hate you. You have completely ruined my life. If I could sue you I would. If you were a bug I would for sure squish you, but not enough to kill you the first time just so you can feel extreme pain and I would let you limp around helplessly and then finish you off.

Let me give some background to this letter: many of you have asked where my interview was at...I prefer to keep that a secret but if you see me in the real world I will of course tell you. So yesterday was the absolute worst day of my entire life! I will start at the beginning, I had this amazing opportunity to interview at a clothing company I prepped weeks in advance for this day; I dyed my hair as mentioned, cut my bangs (which look fab), bought a skirt from the company I was interviewing at, bleached my teeth, painted my nails, and had my teacher write me the sweetest letter of recommendation. Needless to say I was feeling super awesome about this, I felt confident that I was qualified and prepared. So flash forward to yesterday I printed off directions to the interview, continued to perfect my look for the interview, and made sure I had an ample amount of time to get there....I left an hour and a half early to make sure I got there with plenty of time to spare. I then decided to head off and pick up a soda on my way down...I was super nervous! I reached the city where the interview was at and followed the directions Google maps gave me to a T.....did I end up where the interview was....NOOOOO! I ended up in a residential area on some friggin mountain, so instead of panicking I tried to find the location by following the cross streets (I promise I am good at directions), but where did I end up??? Back in the neighborhood on the mountain!! I drove around for over an hour trying to find this place, I tried finding the phone number to call someone but it was unlisted on Goog411. I then decided after I was now an hour late for my interview to just call it and drive home...I felt numb the entire drive home and for the remainder of the day....I couldn't even cry....I just felt nothing...and still do. Yeah you might say that I am over reacting but this is something that I have wanted forever...this was my chance to be able to have a job that utilizes creativity. When I got home I hurried and wrote the girl I was interviewing with an email apologizing and begging for another chance. She hasn't written me back which is a really bad sign. Ahhh so in conclusion I hate my life today and loathe Google maps.

ps: to make matters worse we went out to a friends house for dinner last night and of course used Google maps and got lost AGAIN!!! Hate hate hate you!

Today

Today just might be the biggest day of my life...well maybe not the biggest we will leave that for my birth and wedding but its up there! I have a super huge interview at 3 today and I am so so nervous! I hope that I do well and don't choke...which I tend to do under extreme nervousness! Wish me luck!! Love love

I have been meaning to post this AHH-MAZING craft that my pretty Christmas tree was blocking all month ;) so here is its debut!

I found this totally awesome project HERE! Thanks for posting this Miken, I think it turned out just fab I decided to add some fabric swirls with the scraps in each corner. Also in the wire hanging I will be putting some of our new pictures that the wonderful Katie Oborn took, check her out HERE she is enchanting ;) (I am watching the wonderful You've Got Mail! Remember how Cathlene Kelly's mom is enchanting? I love love this show it's so romantic!)

I hope that I can finish my plate project that has been put on the back burner for-EVER!

And can I please have this chair from Urban...its beyond beautiful and would look amazing in the corner of my room in between the back burner plate project previously mentioned? Granted it is over priced....but its pretty.....

Also I had my dear sweet husby dye my hair last night...he did a wonderful job absolutely wonderful I got the darkest of dark brown but I just don't feel like its dark enough...do I dare dye it a soft black?! I will prob just wait on that for now I am thinking during the warmer months when I have a tan to dye it black...I told this to Nate the other day he said it was exotic....I will just take that as a good thing ;) love you ;).

My question to you is well let me give brief background: I used to have a full on bang a couple of months ago, I switched to just a side sweep and am thinking about going back to the full? What do you think? I need your opinions por favor (That's me practicing my exoticness ;). Much thanks for your help ;) Love love.
