My Apologies

I know, I know, I have been neglecting you guys, don't hate me mmmk! I have been so busy over at Meet Virginia, it's like a full time job in addition to the job I already have and wifely duties this blog just seems to fall by the wayside. I have been thinking about starting another blog, it'd be a fashion blog since Meet Virginia has morphed into more of a craft blog ;). What do you think? I know you all secretly want to dress like me...;) jk but seriously ;).

When I Grow Up...

When I was little I wanted to be a variety of things, but one that came to mind the other day was an Egyptologist. I know I am such a nerd but I will admit that I was beyond giddy for this past weekend's Discovery show about King Tut. It would be a dream vaca for me to go to Egypt, ride on a camel to the pyramids and see The Sphinx....yeah I think that this has to happen in my life!

ps: I hurt my back really REALLY badly at my toning class last night, I promise if I had a cane I would use it...I feel no shame in that.

pps: I just completely voided my said workout last night when my diet consisted of an xxl diet soda, sun chips (atleast they have lots of fiber???), a bowl of cheese, and a Paradise Bakery sugar cookie for dinner ;). I could really have gone for another cookie, I ate the whole thing on my drive home....don't judge me. Love, love.

Happy Birthday to the sweetest brother a girl could ask for! Happy Birthday Steve! I love love love you and am so happy that I was able to spend the day with you! Don't hate me forever for snooping out the you know what.....mmk I will most likely forget about it for the end of the day anyways ;) love love love you!

Our Love Day

This year's Valentines was by far the best in my entire life! I have the best hubby anyone could ask for! We decided to celebrate Vday on Friday since we figured Saturday would be down right crazy to try and go anywhere to eat! We went to our fav sushi place in Layton and had some way good sushi and way nasty sushi! Ever heard of niro sushi....blick! First off it looks like skin that has be sitting in the sun too long ya know all wrinkly and tan? It comes out looking like a mini spring roll...I know sounds divine right? It does until you take a bite of it and realize its nasty tofu with rice on the inside, I had to hold back the vomit! The rest of the sushi was great as always though so we were satisfied!

After sushi we had a hankerin' for something sweet, Nate banned the idea of any baked goods so we went to Sub Zero for ice cream. Has anyone been there? It was too cool instead of having the ice cream pre-made they make it right in front of you using liquid nitrogen! We went with pistachio/our fave with graham cracker pie crust...one word...Heavenly!

We ended our night with re runs of the Office and Seinfeld.

This is where I thought my Vday had ended, and I was beyond satisfied (I honestly don't get too much into Vday) but was I ever wrong!

I went shopping with my mom and sis all day Saturday and when I got home my entire house was spotless and the laundry was done! I went upstairs to of course change into my sweats when I noticed this attached to a balloon and a card sitting on my nicely made bed!

Isn't he the sweetest? Yes, I am aware that this isn't a real dog but its as close as I am going to get right now ;). I love my sweet husband and am so grateful for him and all he does! Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines too! Love love.

Tights and Shorts

Ok I know that I am not a prude when it comes to fashion, I mean I am usually pretty accepting I think, but WTFreak is this?


Shorts with tights....ewwwww gross! I am sorry ladies just wear a short mini or something this look is no bueno! Katie Holmes you're double fined..you know better than this, but I am guessing this pic was taken a while ago since she still has short hair...one can hope. I mean what is going to be next??? Bikini's and thermals? You just can't combine two seasons together people its just weird.

Confessional

Wow long time no post! I really do have some things that I need to own up to...thank goodness for this fabulous blog ;)

1. I have eaten more baked potatoes in the last month, than in my entire life time. Why this is...I have no idea, I think I like that it is a whole meal in a little potato!

2. I love The Nanny...I DVR it every night and watch episodes I have already seen. I think it is hilarious...I just laugh and laugh and laugh, I mean what is funnier than an over 30 jewish nanny born and raised in Flushing! Oh and I am so not ashamed!

3. I don't know anyone that is more excited for this than I am!!

Oh Coach how I have missed you so much! And Russel I would watch out I don't know how long you will last!

4. The new Alice and Wonderland by Tim Burton really freaks me out! I promise I think it might give me nightmares if I ever see it.

Just a glimpse of Johnny Deppe as the Mad Hatter sends chills down my spine!

5. What I wouldn't give to have hair like this chick's HERE its so full and hippy-ish and lovely!

The Stray Hair

Have you ever wiped/caressed/touched your face and come across a stray hair....that isn't blonde? I found one right underneath my jaw bone below my ear a couple minutes ago...WEIRD right? Blah don't you just hate that when it happens, because then you wonder ummm how long has this been there? Has anyone noticed? Did anyone secretly make fun of me because of this gross disgusting hair? Oh man....I still need to pluck it and will do so immediately following this post!

Our Conversation Last Night

Our conversations take the weirdest turns, let me paint the picture of last night: we were laying in bed, watching some Mythbusters in the wee hours of the morning about to fall asleep.

Me: I hope when I am pregnant that my stomach is round...you know like beach ball was shoved up there.

N: Hmmm.....(I promise he was listening to me...I think? It's hard to tell when Mythbusters is on.)

Me: You know I don't want to end up with like a duck bill stomach where it is round at the top, dips in and then there is a roll at the bottom so the outline looks like a duck bill.

N: (hums a tune and proceeds to sing) "Duck bill, duck bill, Bill duck".

Me: (I proceeding to laugh and laugh and laugh)

Yeah, I would have to say that is one of the many reasons I fell in love with my dear sweet hubby, our weird conversations and all the laughter is one of my most favorite things! Love you sweet cheeks ;)! Love love.

Wednesday Night: Core Fusion

I went to a fitness class last night at the South Davis Rec Center called: Core Fusion. I have gone to this class before but last night was particularly rough. Instead of fusing my core I promise I think my spine is fused! My lower back is throbbing which is directly related to the permanent reverse plank position I was in for around 55 minutes. Blah! I know that I will thank her later but Kristen of SDRC: I don't like you, or your core fusion/reverse plank class ;)! I honestly don't know if I will make it to kick box tonight...I super need it though after eating that pasta I made last night (have you tried it yet?) I am pretty sure I ate a whole stick of burnt brown butter all by myself. Really why can't I be blessed with a super duper high metabolism, or a thyroid problem? Yeah I know I wouldn't want it if I had it blah, blah, blah I think that's what skinny people with those problems tell you to make you feel better about your chunkiness. I really hope I make it tonight...or I develop a skinny disease ;) hope you all have a great Thursday! I can't wait for my rio salad tonight and shows ;)! Love love.
